Lore & Background
In Quick Play, the conflict arises from the ongoing timestream entanglement triggered by the hostile meeting between Doctor Doom and his heroic 2099 counterpart. This event has created new worlds and forced heroes and villains from across the multiverse to fight one another, with both Doom variants seeking victory over the new realities. Players step into these spontaneous dimensional skirmishes where alliances are temporary and survival depends on quick thinking rather than long-term strategy. The battles reflect the unpredictable nature of the multiverse itself, with each match representing a fleeting clash of ideologies and personalities from different timelines.
In Their Own Story
The air tasted like ozone and burnt sugar as Spider-Man web-zipped toward a crumbling bridge, his eyes scanning for threats that hadn't materialized yet. Suddenly, a portal ripped open behind him, spilling out the distinct green glow of the Hulk's rage. 'Don't worry, Spidey,' Iron Man quipped, landing heavily beside the wall, repulsors humming. 'We just need to hold this point until the timer hits zero.' Across the chasm, Magneto levitated a chunk of debris, his expression unreadable as he coordinated with an unlikely ally: Black Widow. There was no time for introductions or explanations; in Quick Play, the only language that mattered was the clash of steel and energy.
Reader's Guide
Quick Play features non-ranked games where three modes are available: Domination, Convoy, and Convergence. In Domination, two teams attack a zone within an area map from a pool of three per map; capturing the zone grants points until 100% is reached, then the match repeats on another area map until a team captures two zones. Convoy assigns teams randomly as offense or defense—offense escorts a moving object through the map while defense stops it by capturing; the object moves forward when captured by offense and backward when captured by defense, and only offense can increase speed by standing near it. Convergence begins with offense attacking a starting checkpoint while defense prevents capture; if captured, the game shifts into Convoy mechanics. Matches use AI opponents in Practice Vs. AI mode instead of real players. Quick Play allows players to use any unlocked hero from the full roster, with no hero bans or rank restrictions, making it ideal for learning new characters or testing team compositions.
